Beyond - The Arctic Passage
BEYOND looks to a time when clothing was made with purpose. Heavy woollens, dense cottons and substantial knitwear, chosen for their warmth, durability and comfort. Garments built to be worn often, repaired when necessary and relied upon for years. Not because they were fashionable, but because they were good.
The same spirit can be found in those who made these journeys.
At sea, a crew shares the same course. Watches are kept through the night, work is divided, meals are taken together and whatever the weather brings is faced as one. Over time, a quiet trust takes hold. The kind that grows naturally when people spend long days in close company, working towards the same horizon.
Our passage leads west through Arctic waters towards the distant shores of America, following a route travelled by generations before us. Drawn onward by curiosity, opportunity and the enduring belief that there is always something worth discovering beyond the horizon.
This collection is inspired by that spirit.
By clothing made well enough to accompany a lifetime of journeys. By places that remind us how small we are. And by the friendships formed along the way.
BEYOND. The Arctic Passage.

At Thomas Farthing, each individual garment is designed with careful consideration of materials, colours and shapes, taking inspiration from our collection of 1930-40s archival pieces and photography.
Our hope is that you feel your Thomas Farthing garment is better in ten years than it was when you bought it.
